February

This is the time of year when things start getting a bit busier in some San Diego County areas: If you are going to add New fruit trees to your “Backyard Orchard” …PLEASE, dig your holes first, then go buy your trees. This way they, your trees, will not sit around getting sick and they will not start thinking that you don’t  love them.

If you need help with picking New trees or ideas on how to plant them…2 or 3 in the same hole… are you kidding. Ask Richard who and how.

-Apply dormant spray to fruit trees for peach leaf curl, blight, and canker
-Plant fruit trees,  bare root, citrus and avocados, most tropicals
-Prune deciduous fruit trees
-Sow seeds indoors for Spring vegetables
-First feeding of your established Fruit trees

My wife, kids and I are wanting to plant about 10 fruit trees, but don’t want to do anything without getting some good advice first. A family friend had Richard go to his house to advise. If this is an option, I’d like to how to set that up and how much it would cost. I live in Poway, CA near Poway High school.
